With 210 world premieres the starts on September 17th IAA, Compared to the edition two years ago, this means an increase of 30 percent according to the industry association VDA. In addition to the global debuts, there are 26 European and German premieres. From a German perspective, the most important new car models include VW Tiguan, Mercedes S-Class Cabrio, Audi A4, BMW 7 Series and Opel Astra. There are also foreign vehicles such as the new Renault Mégane, the Toyota Prius and the Alfa Romeo Giulia.
A total of 1.103 exhibitors from 39 countries are represented in Frankfurt. They share 230.000 square meters of exhibition space, including for the first time 12.000 square meters for the new exhibition area "New Mobility" in Hall 3.1. There, companies from the software or telecommunications industry will present their products on the topics of e-mobility, networking, automated driving and mobility services.
The fair opens to the general public after two trade visitor days on September 19. The day ticket costs 12 euros on weekdays and 14 euros on weekends. Anyone who arrives after 15 p.m. pays 8 euros. Admission is 7,50 euros for pupils, students and trainees.
