News: Jeep with extrovert concepts in brand style

The Easter Jeep Safari marks the 50. Time and again you want to celebrate with the American off-road vehicle manufacturer with seven new concept cars as well as a multitude of Mopar and Jeep performance parts. Each of these models emphasizes how robust and anachronistic the brand wants to be, although the connection with Fiat partially softens that identity somewhat. A brief overview of the concepts that await us.

The Easter Jeep Safari takes place every year in Moab, Utah, and celebrates its 50 this year. Anniversary. This attracts, not only this year, many fans and onlookers. The original American manufacturer can even dance on two anniversary celebrations: On the one hand, the safari celebrates its 50. Repeat and on the other hand, Jeep can look back on a 75-year history. That's why the specialist in the field can not be lumped and presents seven exciting concepts. In doing so, "Mopar" is responsible for the development of the parts, thus ensuring that Jeep owners can not only personalize their vehicle, but also improve it. The climbers were put on their feet by a team that has been passionately optimizing production vehicles since 2002.

Jeep® Crew Chief 715 Concept

The Jeep Crew Chief 715 for example, a tribute to the military jeeps. The open off-road vehicle is based on the Jeep Wrangler unlimited and stands out with its stocky stature as well as with style measures that are intended to be reminiscent of the models of bygone days. The old military vehicles were supposed to bring troops through difficult terrain and the concept car wants to connect to that too. This is shown by the 20-inch wheels with bolted-on military tires as well as the side protective tubes, the cable winch or the elevation by ten centimeters. Appropriately, the Jeep Crew Chief 715 is painted in "Tactical Green" and has a 1,5 m long loading area. Inside, the SUV has a fabric-leather combination for the seats and switches that could also come from the cockpit of an airplane. A large compass is permanently installed so that you don't get lost with the 3,6 liter V6.

Another model is listening to the name Jeep shortcut, This concept also builds on the Wrangler, but uses a shortened body. The front grille, the hood and tailgate, the fenders and the chrome bumpers are to revive memories of the historic model. Add to that a special exhaust system, red 17-inch rims and off-road tires that reinforce this impression. A height adjustment of five centimeters as well as special axles and shock absorbers should make this Jeep really fit for the terrain. The same unit works here as in the crew chief.

Jeep® Wrangler Red Rock Responder Concept Interior

Of course, the smallest member of the Jeep family, the Renegade, will not be left untouched by the anniversary. So comes the Renegade "Commander" drove up with Mopar and Jeep performance parts that enhance its off-road look. It is also five centimeters higher and has 17-inch aluminum rims with corresponding AT tires. In addition, this Jeep Renegade comes to the Easter Saferi in its gray shade with a panel roof, special stickers on the bonnet and an adapted exhaust system.

The Jeep Commanche uses the basis of the Renegade or Fiat 500X and wants to convince in the impassable. The small pick-up has a specially developed paint job in "Beige Against the Machine", has a silk-matt hood in black and a front bumper with a winch, which should be enough for the adventure look.

Jeep® Comanche Concept

The FC at Jeep FC 150 stands for Forward Control and refers to the Jeep FC 150 from 1960. The two letters describe an early passenger compartment, which offers a large cargo area. This can also be seen in the concept car, which carries the original bodywork of this veteran rock and does not dispense with the proud quirks and bumps. But this hides new technology: The chassis comes from a Jeep Wrangler 2005 and was upgraded with Dana axles. The model is completed by mud-terrain tires. The interior shows dirt-repellent seat covers made of vinyl and traditional duck hunting motifs on the headliner. Orientation is provided by an analog compass, while the drive is taken over by a six-cylinder in-line engine with a three-speed automatic - which is not exactly modern.

For the ultimate off-road use is the Jeep Trailcat thought. This off-road vehicle has a monster engine: a supercharged 6,2 liter V8 with 707 hp provides a brute forward thrust. It is switched by hand and not by a machine. The unit is known from the Dodge Callenger Hellcat and leaves no doubt about its American origin with its infernal sound. A black grille, a Mopar bonnet and the LED headlights are the distinguishing features of this monster, which are also underlined by various "Hellcat" stickers. Inside, carbon shell seats with a special leather from the Dogde Viper are waiting to clasp the inmates.

Finally, the Americans still show the Jeep Travelsorm. This is intended to demonstrate the upper end of what is feasible when speaking of a Jeep Wrangler - at least when it comes to the terrain to be explored off the beaten track. Equipped with a variety of Jeep Performance Parts, no one can fool the Trailstorm so quickly: A lift, Fox shock absorber, a Rubicon winch or Dana axles make it a real nature boy. This can also be seen in the coated interior, which is easy to clean, or on the half doors, which allow a clear view of what is going on in the field. The Jeep Trailstorm is refined by Mopar parts such as LED headlights or thick running boards. The American is wearing a camouflage paint to match this.
