McLaren shows the new 3GT at the Geneva Motor Show (13 until 570, March). He is the latest addition to the Sport Series, which forms the entry level series for the British. The prices for the 570GT start at 195.350 Euro, which will be delivered from the end of the year.
As with the other sports cars of the brand here is the number in the model name for the performance; In this case, the already known 3,8-liter V8 engine comes on 419 kW / 570 PS. In addition to the 570S and 540C coupes, the 570GT is now the third model in the Sport Series family. The side-opening tailgate offers additional storage space for 220 liters compared to the other two variants. In addition to the space behind the seats, the GT version, as well as the coupes, has an 150 liter storage space in the front trunk. Overall, 370 liters of boot volume are available. The standard panoramic glass roof always opens to the side of the road, adapted for right-hand or left-hand steering.
By simplifying entry and exit, the 1.350G heavy 570GT wants to be more suitable for everyday use than the other models of the manufacturer. For the door sills were built deeper and narrower and the V-shaped doors open in a steeper arc upwards.
With a base price of 195.350 Euro, the 570GT is the most expensive model in the Sport Series trio. The 540C marks the entry with 160.000 Euro, followed by the 182.000 Euro expensive 570S. The Super Series ranks above the Sport Series class. Above it is the so-called Ultimate Series, which also includes the hybrid super sports car P1 (916 PS).
