As in Mercedes In the meantime, there is also an edition 63 of the high-performance variant C 1 Coupé for the market launch. Mercedes-AMG presents the special model at the International Motor Show IAA (17 until 27, September). The gray matt lacquered edition is based on the future color of the future Mercedes-AMG race coupés, who will compete in the German Touring Car Masters (DTM) at 2016.
The C 63 is powered by a V8 twin-turbo gasoline engine. The 4,0 liter engine is available with either 350 kW / 476 PS or 375 kW / 510 PS as C 63 S. The market launch of the two-door will be in March.
The Edition 1 is available with two different exterior variants. The first is available exclusively for the S model and takes on the look of the IAA launch version of the 2016er C 63 DTM with its matt gray painted body and yellow foiling. The yellow trim strips can be found on the bonnet, the roof, deck lid and the side lines above the sill panel. The C 63 S Coupé Edition 1 comes as standard with a ceramic high-performance composite brake system and matt black forged wheels with yellow-painted rim flanges.
The second variant of the Edition 1 is a bit more understated. Here the decorative stripes are gray. Sport tires and ceramic high-performance composite brake system are optionally available. The AMG aerodynamics package is available for both variants. This is based on racing and includes a large front spoiler and other side stalling edges in the rear apron and a special rear diffuser.
The standard edition of the 1 edition includes the AMG Night package. It includes chrome on the grille, inserts in the side sill panels in black and black exterior mirror housings and heat-insulating tinted glass from the B-pillar.
In the interior, the color yellow is picked up in the contrasting seams, including the bottom-flattened steering wheel, the door center panel, and the armrests. More contoured seats better support the driver in fast cornering.
The exact prices Mercedes does not yet. For the Mercedes-AMG C 63 coupe probably at least around 76.000 Euro due. Interested parties should plan for at least 1 Euro more for the motorsport-oriented special Edition 10.000 models.
