With the A-Class series has Mercedes his clientele noticeably rejuvenated, with the associated CLA offer the Stuttgart since 2013 for the first time a compact model in the US. Now the four-door coupe and the Shooting Brake get an update. The facelift includes visual measures as well as an extra of extras, and the range of engines also expands.
New bumpers and the standard diamond grill in black make the model care externally recognizable. The interior is upgraded with chromed controls, among other things. The optional 8 inch media display is now sleeker, the instrument cluster better readable. Upon request, the boot lid or flap can be opened and closed handsfree and without contact (Shooting Brake), and LED headlamps can now also be ordered.
With the CLA 220 4matic (135 kW / 184 PS), Mercedes is offering a new variant for four-wheel drive fans. In the CLA Shooting Brake, the small gasoline engine with 1,6 liter displacement and 90 kW / 122 PS is new in the engine range, its consumption is given as 5,5 liters / 100 km. The CLA 180d has become more economical, as the Blue Efficiancy Edition consumes the 80 kW / 109 PS strong diesel 3,5 liter (3,6 liter in Shooting Brake).
Coupé and Shooting Brake can be ordered from April and arrive in July 2016 to the dealers, price changes are not yet known. The CLA Coupe is currently available from 29.215 Euro, the Shooting Brake costs at least 29.810 Euro.
The refreshed version of the CLA will be presented for the first time at the New York International Auto Show (25, March through 3, April), and the Shooting Brake will make its debut at the Xurex./17 award ceremony for the Laureus World Sports Awards in Berlin. April.
