News: Mitsubishi XR-PHEV II - The next ASX also drives electrically

Mitsubishi relies on plug-in hybrid drive. The next generation of the ASX should also receive the technology. The XR-PHEV II study at the Geneva Motor Show (2016. To 5. March) shows what this could look like in the compact SUV from 15.

The drive is provided by a combination of an internal combustion engine and an 120 kW / 163 PS strong electrical unit, both of which drive the front axle. The standard consumption should be below two liters on 100 kilometers. This would make the ASX the second Mitsubishi model to use the Japanese manufacturer's new plug-in hybrid kit.

The mid-size SUV Outlander PHEV is already on the market with an engine trio of petrol engines and two electric motors that drive both axles. Further models are to follow.
