The Peugeot 108 is so far mostly known as one - as a microcar. Peugeot prefers to call it a super-compact city car, but that does not make a difference. The lion, who shares the platform and accordingly the concept with the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1, is now refreshed and gets new equipment. So the model should continue to remain attractive, which prove the stable used car prices. We took a closer look at what the little Frenchman brings to his career.
Visually does not change anything, only a few new equipment lines are added to the Peugeot 108. Also, the microcar is still available as a three- or five-door and starts at prices from 8.890 Euro. In the highest equipment line and with the automated manual transmission you can almost double this price. That would be about the new special model, the Peugeot 108 TOP! Roland Garros with the optional leather package and the big engine of the case. Good 16.000 Euro will be due. However, the Frenchman then offers almost complete equipment. So the special model with a safety package, which includes the "Active City Brake" and a lane departure warning system. For the smaller variants, it is available as an option and costs the customer 350 Euro. This may be called a bargain, as Peugeot so far estimated 500 Euro for it. Otherwise, the Roland Garros offers a navigation system, an automatic climate control, a light sensor, a reversing camera and a keyless system. In terms of design, the special model is based on aluminum door sills, orange and white elements both inside and out, as well as on a chromed tailpipe.
Slightly more sporty is the GT line designed, which is already known by the 208 and 308. It costs at least 1.100 Euro surcharge and is only available with the fixed steel roof. The Peugeot 108 GT-Line is powered by two petrol engines: the smaller of the two three-cylinder engine delivers 69 horsepower from 1.0 liters displacement, while the "bigger" one water glass holds more displacement ready. From 1.2 liters, this engine generates 82 PS. These small combustion chambers ultimately lead to the Frenchman with 3,8 and 4,3 liters on 100 km is on the average very frugal. If you have opted for an aggregate, you can look forward to the rich equipment. Both the already mentioned security package is on board as well as a lot of design adjustments. Thus, the GT-Line in the interior design elements in red-gloss ready, which form a nice contrast to the black air vents and the color-matching gear knob. In addition, there are fabric seats in a check pattern in black-red-blue.
On the outside, the sporty lion is recognizable by the mirror caps, the front spoiler lip and the rear diffuser in black as well as by a trim strip below the fog lights. The 108 GT-Line with 15-inch Alus, a chromed tailpipe, tinted rear windows and GT-Line-Logos drives in front of it. It can be selected in white, black, red or two gray tones.
Fresh summer wind leaves the 108 TOP! with its electric folding roof in the interior. Otherwise, the French have recognized the trend that individualization is becoming increasingly important. Accordingly, you can get the interior about in black and yellow or order the vehicle in the new color "Golden Yellow" from next summer. It is also possible to order some DUAL design combinations. Included here are side trim and chrome frames around the windows. All in all, the little lion has got a more individual touch, but otherwise it has remained quite the same. Why not?
