News: Most stable cars - With the Porsche Macan you lose the least

For many car buyers, the expected loss in value also plays a role when buying a new car. The most stable is currently the Porsche Macan: As the market observer Schwacke has determined, the SUV shows the lowest percentage loss in value of all 39 vehicles examined.
In terms of value retention, Porsche models are seven times among the top three in the 13 vehicle classes. Only BMW is even stronger: The Munich-based car group achieved one of the top three positions in nine categories, the best result of all manufacturers.

German automakers are often among the top three in terms of value retention: For example, Opel with the Adam (small car), Audi with the A3 (compact car), VW with the Touran (compact vans). Importer models also perform excellently, for example Toyota with the Prius + (compact car), Skoda with the Superb Combi (middle class) or Jaguar with the XF (upper class).

Traditionally, the Dacia car brand again achieved the smallest loss in euros in 2016. With an absolute loss of value of just € 2.740 after four years, the Sandero is unrivaled at the top - but it is already the cheapest car on the list. The BMW i3 is the value champion among electric vehicles.
