Opel Movano

Opel is also changing its cooperation partner for its medium-sized van. And can offer electric drive in the future.

Opel is relaunching the medium-sized Transporter Movano and is also launching an E version. The Rüsselsheim-based company no longer uses the Renault Master's platform, but moves to the architecture of the new parent company PSA, which also features the Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Jumper.

The technical data of the E variant is also based on the two new siblings. It has an output of 90 kW / 122 PS and a torque of 260 Nm. Customers have the choice between two battery variants with 37 or 70 kWh capacity, which enable ranges of 117 and 224 kilometers. The batteries are located in the vehicle floor between the axles and do not affect functionality or the loading volume. In addition to the Movano-e, there are various diesel variants. The 2,2-liter engines with outputs of 88 kW / 120 PS to 121 kW / 165 PS are coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox and drive the front wheels.

Opel offers the panel van in four lengths and three heights. The loading volume is between 8 and 17 cubic meters, the gross vehicle weight between 2,8 and 4,0 tonnes. The loading width is 1,42 meters between the wheelhouses and 1,87 meters between the side walls. In addition, customers can choose between the three-seater standard cabin and a double cabin with seven seats. In addition to the van, there is also a chassis.
