Nissan Qashqai Black Edition - Classy Crossover

At the last Motor Show in Geneva, the Japanese already showed a concept for the Nissan Qashqai, which emphasized its premium claim. Now the Nissan Qashqai Black Edition is presented and wants to provide with its black accents for noblesse. Throughout Europe, the crossover is limited to 3.360 units and available from 34.800 Euro. What is included here is revealed by the following lines.

In Geneva, Nissan presented high quality model , in whose footsteps the special model Black Edition now wants to step. The black accents are intended to highlight the premium character, while 19-inch alloy wheels provide a dynamic appearance. The Black Edition is also characterized by door sills in black and silver elements on the front and rear. The crossover is available in two colors only: black metallic and white pearl effect - very similar to the BMW M5 Competition Edition.

The starting point for the special model is the top equipment "Tekna" and has high-quality extras ready. These include full LED headlights, an electric driver's seat, two-zone automatic air conditioning and black full leather seats. The panorama roof is subject to a surcharge, whereas the Safety Shield is standard. This bundle includes the blind spot warning, motion detection, a drowsiness assistant and a parking assistant. In addition, the NissanConnect navigation system is installed with a seven-inch touchscreen that displays the Around View monitor. Here you get a 360-degree view so that parking damage is a thing of the past.

When driving you have even fewer choices, as the exterior colors. Only the - admittedly popular - 1.6 dCi diesel with 130 PS is available. If you put the cross in the six-speed manual transmission when selecting, you can drive with front or four-wheel drive. The automatic transmission, however, is only available for front-wheel drive, which seems incomprehensible.

Black or white - the Nissan Qashqai Black Edition does not let you choose more
Black or white - the Nissan Qashqai Black Edition makes choosing colors easy

But that will not change the fact that the Crossover is Europe's best-selling crossover. In September of last year, the 500.000 Qashqai of the second generation came off the line, to date, there are even 750.000 sold copies. And with the Nissan Qashqai Black Edition, this trend will certainly not change.
