After the Adam moves Opel now also the per se somewhat sober designed Opel Karl the mud pants on: At the Paris Motor Show (1.-16 October) present the Rüsselsheim the Karl Rocks. This slightly higher version with SUV planking all around makes the Praktiker under the Adam positioned micro car now but something of a lifestyle model.
At first glance, the five-door car looks like a shrunken Opel Mocha due to its rather tall body. Through the SUV-typical plastic trim all around the SUV offshoot is much more present on the road than the standard version. The light height adjustment with 1,8 centimeters more ground clearance should allow easier entry and better overview. However, the Karl Rocks is not prepared for a real off-road use, as he would like to forego all-wheel drive just like the Adam Rocks.
From the end of the year, the crossover Karl can be ordered. For the price Opel says nothing. But it will be well above the starting price for the Karl von 9.500 Euro, also due to more standard equipment such as roof rails, 15-inch alloy wheels or special interior decoration.
