Opel Movano Facelift - More assistants on board

Vans also need refreshing every now and then. The look is not so important, but more and more assistants and networking are becoming more important here too.

Opel is providing new assistance systems, better networking and a few visual retouches to its Movano van, which was still developed in collaboration with Renault. Unlike the small combo or the Vivaro, which are already on the platforms of the new parent company PSA, the large van remains part of the previous cooperation agreement. Opel has not yet quoted prices for the revised models.

The vehicles, which will be available from June, can be equipped with assistance systems such as a blind spot warning, lane keeping assist or a crosswind assistant. If desired, a reversing camera can also help with reverse maneuvering. The dashboard has been modified to improve ease of use. The 5.0 IntelliLink Pro navigation system is now optionally available, which also enables the integration of smartphones using Apple Carplay and Android Auto. In addition, there is now the possibility to charge smartphones wirelessly.

The range of engines remains unchanged. As before, the Movano uses 2,3-liter turbodiesel in various output levels up to a maximum of 132 kW / 180 hp. Front or rear wheel drive are available. As usual, the panel van variant is available in four lengths and three heights. Up to 4,5 tonnes gross vehicle weight and 17 cubic meters of loading volume are possible. Depending on the variant, the Movano accepts up to five euro pallets. Over 150 body and body versions can be ordered ex works.

The refreshed versions are visually recognizable by an enlarged grille with slat optics and Opel flash in the middle. LED daytime running lights are now standard.
