The Seat Ateca X-perience presented in Paris only plays a subordinate role in this article, because it is still a concept vehicle. Much more important to us was the conversation with Sven Schawe, Head of Overall Vehicle Development at Seat, on the topics of active and passive safety. Modern vehicles offer a variety of assistance systems and an SUV like the Ateca in particular requires a certain amount of brainpower in its development.
