Rolls Royce Black Badge Wraith Tuning by SPOFEC

Only three Wraith custom luxury automobiles will be built

SPOFEC is made up of the first two letters of the “Spirit OF Ecstasy”. As is well known, the hood ornament is the trademark of Rolls-Royce. SPOFEC is a separate division of the Novitec Group from Stetten im Allgäu. This time the Rolls Royce Black Badge Wraith appealed to the luxury tuner. He refines the Rolls with his Black Badge Wraith tuning.

Limited series of three luxury automobiles

The carbon wide version, which gives the British supercar its name, was created in cooperation with the German designer Vittorio Strosek. The high-tech compound from Formula 1 offers a perfect combination of light weight and strength.

Engine tuning for the Wraith to 717 hp

[dropcap size=big]717[/dropcap]In order to give the 6,6 liter twelve-cylinder biturbo of the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Wraith even more temperament, there is a special performance increase of the tuner. The processor-controlled N-TRONIC module controls the engine with special maps for injection and ignition and also increases the boost pressure.

With 717 hp at 5 rpm and a maximum torque of 700 Nm, the refined luxury coupé catapults itself from 986 – 4,2 km/h in just 0 seconds.

The top speed remains electronically limited to 250 km/h due to the high vehicle weight. The power delivery of the V12, optimized over the entire speed range, ensures an improved driving experience.

Wider fenders front and rear

The wide fenders on the front and rear axles of the Wraith are fascinating. They make the 2+2 seater an impressive 208 centimeters wide on the rear axle. This surpasses the standard Rolls by 13 centimeters. For this purpose, curved extensions for the rear side walls have been developed, which are seamlessly connected to the standard body.

This means there is room for concave 10.5Jx22 forged wheels that are ridden with 295/30 ZR 22 tires. The SPOFEC SP2 wheels with nine pairs of double spokes and a large cover that hides the wheel bolts are painted black to match the vehicle.

Overdose for the Rolls-Royce

On the front axle, the Rolls-Royce rides on 9.5Jx22 wheels with 265/35 ZR 22 tires that fit under the fenders. They completely replace the standard parts and make the Wraith seven centimeters wider at the front.

The new side skirts not only create a perfect transition between the front and rear fenders, they also emphasize the exciting wasp waist. In addition, they make the British luxury coupe appear even lower and stretched. The rear brakes are cooled by an air intake on each side.

For the wider fenders at the front and rear, SPOFEC OVERDOSE has developed aprons that completely replace the standard bumpers. The carbon front apron not only gives the Wraith an even more distinctive face. It also reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds.

At the rear, too, the wide bumper adapts perfectly to the two extensions and makes the luxury fastback look decidedly sporty when viewed from the rear. The sporty look can be completed with an optional carbon spoiler lip.

Black Badge Wraith tuning optimizes handling

The SPOFEC OVERDOSE also offers a further plus in terms of agility when it comes to handling. A special control module was developed for the standard air suspension. This lowers the coupé by around 140 millimeters up to a speed of 40 km/h. At higher speeds, the body automatically rises back to its original level.
