You can get a quick overview for little money
Ice scratching is one of the more annoying everyday tasks for motorists. A convenient alternative is de-icer sprays, which do a good job for little money.
The Society for Technical Supervision (GTÜ) has tested eight pump spray disc de-icers for the car. Most of the products received a "highly recommended". However, two testers could not really convince the testers.
The winner was Aral's "Scheiben Defroster", which offers by far the best thawing effect. With 7,60 Euro per liter, the first-placed competitor moves in the middle of the field. As particularly favorable alternatives recommend the Scheibenenteiser AutoXS of Aldi south as well as Priva of net, which costs only approximately two euro per liter. Both received, as well as the eight euros per liter expensive sprays from Sonax and Shell, also a "highly recommended". The most expensive product, 16,50 Euro per liter, the Brestol deicer, came in last place due to poor handling and paint compatibility ratings. Also just a "conditionally recommendable" got the "clear view de-icer spray" from Robbyrob.
