Six-month electric car bonus - Renault Zoe benefits the most

The Renault So far, Zoe has been the biggest beneficiary of the electric car premium. Six months after the funding program was launched, 1.573 of the total of 9.023 applications were for the small electric car. That corresponds to a share of 17 percent. The BMW i3 follows just behind with 1.567 applications. The plug-in hybrid variant of the Audi A3 achieved third place with 1.188 applications. In the manufacturer ranking, BMW (2.592 applications) is ahead of Renault (1.658) and Audi (1.188).

Since the beginning of July 2016, a total of 5.129 applications for purely electric cars have been submitted, according to the responsible Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA). 3.892 applications were made for a plug-in hybrid car, and twice for a fuel cell vehicle. Companies received 4.461 applications, while private individuals made 4.403 applications. The rest is accounted for by foundations, associations and municipal companies. (Holger Holzer / SP-X)
