Skoda Karoq: New base model for the compact SUV

So far, the Skoda Karoq was only available with a relatively generous amount of equipment. A somewhat meager basic model is now being delivered - which significantly lowers the entry price.

Skoda is launching a new basic version of the Karoq. In the "Active" version, the compact SUV is now available with the 85 kW / 115 hp petrol engine and front-wheel drive from 22.500 euros. So far, the Czech cousin of the VW Tiguan had to pay at least almost 2.000 euros more - for the same drive there was the higher trim level "Ambition". The new entry-level model is equipped with a city emergency brake assistant, air conditioning and an audio system.

Skoda is also expanding the drive range for the Karoq. The 110 kW / 150 hp 2,0-liter diesel is now not only available in conjunction with all-wheel drive technology, but also with front-wheel drive and a manual six-speed gearbox (from 30.040 euros). In addition, a 2,0-liter petrol engine with 140 kW / 190 hp, all-wheel drive and seven-speed dual clutch transmission rounds off the range of petrol engines (from 36.420 euros).
