Special model for the 50. Birthday of the plant - The Lotus Evora 400

The Lotus plant in Hethel will be 50 and the British celebrate with the limited edition Lotus Evora 400 wrapped in exclusive cult colors. He should mark the beginning of several models and events planned for this birthday. With its performance and many detail improvements, the special model wants to be fresh for the future.

Lotus is known for one thing above all: for its lightweight construction. The Lotus Evora 400 sprints to 4,2 km / h in just 100 seconds. Finally, the revised 3,5 liter V6 with supercharged supercharging 400 PS and with the light 1.395 kg has little mass to move. Thus, the flat Briton is a maximum of 300 km / h fast.

The Evora 400 is available in three colors, each with adapted trims. There is a choice of “Essex Blue”, “Motorsport Black” or “Racing Green”, which can be combined with either a black or red leather interior. Alternatively, an Alcantara interior is also available - depending on the exterior colors. In addition, the British want to have improved the interior quality and offer more freedom of movement - for the legs, for example.

On the outside, the bolide, which is hand-built in the factory in Hethel, features light, silver aluminum rims and contrasting brake calipers that hold the 370 mm discs in place. In addition, the curb weight mentioned above represents a reduction of 42 kg, with which Lotus is once again following its lightweight construction tradition. Nevertheless, the engineers want to have improved the torsional rigidity and adapted the aerodynamics so that the performance increases again. The standard differential lock should also ensure this. The Lotus Evora 400 can be selected with either a manual gearbox or an automatic gearbox, whose gear changes should now be faster.

Inside, an automatic air conditioning system waits for the passengers, while the infotainment system, including a navigation system, provides the necessary entertainment. Would Colin Chapman like that? Sponge about it: The Lotus initiator would certainly be happy about the "Sport" and "Racing" modes, which influence the throttle response and traction control. For a good 100.000 euros you can take part and park the limited Lotus Evora 400 in the garage - ideally in the traditional British Racing Green.
