SSC Tuatara 2.0 - Re-launch of the American supercar

It all started back in 2011. Shelby SuperCars wanted to win back the title of the fastest production sports car of all time with the SSC Tuatara. The Ultimate Aero, also built by SSC, has held this up to date with a top speed of 413 kilometers per hour.

The Tuatara was intended to outperform the Bugatti Veyron. 1.350 hp and almost 1.300 Nm of torque from a 6,8 liter V8 engine should have catapulted the Tuatara to 16 km/h in 320 seconds. According to the manufacturer, the top speed was well over 400 km/h.
