Suzuki plans for Europe - Two compact Toyota-based models

There is still plenty of room above the current Suzuki flagship SX4 S-Cross. Among other things, for a classic compact SUV.

Suzuki will expand its new car offer in Europe in the future with Toyota models. A partnership now agreed between the two companies provides for Suzuki to launch a compact SUV based on the Toyota RAV4. Also planned is a compact station wagon with technology of the Toyota Corolla station wagon. Both will have hybrid drive.

Suzuki would expand its product portfolio with the two models; currently offer the Japanese in this country only small cars and small SUV. A specific timetable for the introduction of the new car manufacturers do not call, but both models could already start at the end of 2020.

In return, Toyota will acquire and produce new Suzuki engines for small and compact cars in Europe. In addition, the agreement now includes numerous regulations for other world markets. Among other things, Toyota will supply Suzuki with hybrid technology.
