Tag 3? Did I miss something? No.
Even if yesterday was actually the first day in Africa, we continue to count at 3 today. This is due to the fact that the planned itinerary began on day 1 and this was basically the journey to the airport. For my part, I will drive a rental car from Cologne to Frankfurt Airport. If everything went well, I would come back from delivering the Toyota Landcruiser.
Toyota Landcruiser? That would have been the right car for this desert tour!
Whether you can get through the Namib Desert with a “compact SUV” like the Yeti is something I’ll experience 😉
According to the plan, the third day in Africa should start particularly early and starts at Sossusvlei Lodge and ends there. The goal of the excursion will be “Namib Naukluft Reserve" be. People speak here of the “famous dunes” and one of the oldest deserts in the world.
It should be an impressive tour, across sand and gravel roads, out into the desert reserve by the sea.
The entire tour would be ideal for the land cruiser, but we'll cover all trips with the Škoda Yeti, although I'm personally a bit skeptical. The Yeti by name doesn't belong in the desert alone - right?
Well let's just wait, if there is a Yeti in the desert, then maybe we meet Reinhold Meßner in the Naukluft mountains. The Reinhold had already seen the Yeti, right? I mean 😉
