Toyota GT 86 - New in the test

Pure driving pleasure.  When the Toyota GT 86 and its Subaru twin came out, I had already written a whole series of articles about this emotional high-volume athlete. On the Motor, about the Transmission and the chassis - about the sense.

Thank God for this car!

The Toyota GT 86 offers what we forgot in our hype about hybrids and electric cars: “affordable – pure – driving fun!”

GT 86 Toyota preliminary report driving report

With 200 hp, the GT 86 has not become a super sports car. No automobile dream that remains unattainable. On the contrary, the GT 86 offers more Golf GTI culture (think of the Scirocco and the Manta too) than the original can offer today.

And because the technology was kept simple, but honestly, the purchase price of the GT 86 is so fair: The entry into the sporty 28.990 hp class is currently starting for € 200, and the combination of boxer engine and rear-wheel drive is just as unique as it is fascinating!

In the next two weeks the GT 86 will have to show whether it can meet my high expectations.
