Toyota has deleted the diesel in SUV RAV4. The Japanese prefer to use hybrid, cable and socket.
Toyota is expanding the hybrid offering of the RAV4. At the end of 2020, the SUV is also available as a plug-in version. As a result, the Japanese are taking another step towards electrification of their model range. The RAV4 part-time stream celebrates its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show (until 1.12.2019). Prices and exact information about the engine does not make the manufacturer yet. A new lithium-ion battery is used. The electric range should be 60 kilometers.
Currently, the Japanese offer the SUV with a hybrid drive, which consists of a 131 kW / 178 PS strong gasoline engine and a 88 kW / 120 PS strong electric motor to a system performance of 163 kW / 222 PS (four-wheel) and 160 kW / 218 PS (Front wheel drive). The new RAV4 plug-in, if it comes to Germany because, comes against Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and the model siblings Opel Grandland X Hybrid4 and Peugeot 3008 Hybrid.
