Hans-Joachim Stuck starts in his VW Golf GTI from 1983
It is now starting for the sixth time Hamburg-Berlin Classic. For the first time, the route leads the other way round - from the capital Berlin to the Mecklenburg Lake District to the Hanseatic city. The starting shot is fired on September 19 at the Berlin Olympic Stadium. The first day's goal of the three-day rally is Göhren-Lebbin in the "Land Fleesensee" - Germany's largest holiday and leisure facility. On the second day of the rally, the participants drive along the scenic region around the Müritz. And on the last day, September 21, the route leads via Schwerin to Hamburg. There, participants are expected in the afternoon at the historic fish auction hall.
From the “Rolling Museum” of Volkswagen Classic, three vehicles with air-cooled engines take part in the Hamburg-Berlin Classic. In addition to a 1968 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet made in Brazil, a Type 1974 Coupé built in Osnabrück in 14 started from the factory collection.
