Anyone who sees a vehicle of the brand Vuhl, would actually suspect behind a kauzige, British sports car manufacturer. In fact, the radically light cars come from Mexico City, where a new edition of the top model 05RR has now been presented. The designed for both race track and road use racer impresses not only with its appearance, but also with some performance benchmarks.

Vuhl has unveiled the production version of the particularly radical 05RR

For example, the 05RR, which is made from a lot of carbon fiber, is said to weigh only 660 kilograms dry. The 287 kW / 390 PS and 500 Newtonmeter have strong 2,3-liter turbo petrol engines, which transmit their power to the rear wheels via a sequential six-speed gearbox. With the help of a limited slip differential, a sprint time from standstill to 96 km / h (60 mph) should be possible in just 2,7 seconds. The maximum speed of the basically open two-seater is given as 255 km / h.

Also in the interior, Vuhl relies on lightweight carbon construction

In addition, the 05RR should offer improved handling. Among other things, the drive train was according to the manufacturer a good five inches lower than previously positioned. The tuning of suspension / damping and steering was optimized with regard to a race track use. Upon request, the customer can receive a personal setup and slick tires especially for this purpose. Vuhl also sells its vehicles in Europe. A price for the already orderable 05RR has not yet been mentioned, it is likely to be around 100.000 Euro.
