Become part of a racing team! About the idea of SponsoredRaceCar

For those who have always been at the wheel of a touring car at the VLN and want to fight for victory in a professional racing team, the moment of truth has come.

Because SponsoredRaceCar now wants to make this dream a reality for many.
With the help of crowdfunding, founder and managing director Florian Czermak wants to accomplish the otherwise almost impossible. Build a professional racing team and start at the VLN. The principle is as simple as it looks promising. Many people contribute financially with any amount to build the racing team and then have the opportunity to actively participate in all decisions. From the choice of vehicle to the choice of parts to the choice of driver and mechanic, everything is in the hands of the community. The project has been on the largest German crowdfunding platform “startnext” since November 04.11.2013th, XNUMX and everyone can help with the implementation.

Extract from the Startnext campaign:

“Millions of people around the world share a dream. The dream of entering active motorsport. But most of them will never be able to afford it. Because motorsport is one of the most expensive sports in the world. [click for more info]

The problem:
To be active motorsport in professional racing series like that VLN (organizer association endurance championship Nürburgring) enormous expenses are necessary to operate. Starting with clothing such as a helmet, fireproof underwear, gloves, shoes, overalls and HANS neck support system, you are already in the 4-digit range. A racing license is essential to be able to participate in racing events. In order to be able to drive your own car onto the race track, at least conversion measures such as a roll cage, bucket seat, fire extinguishing system and 6-point belt system are required. In addition to entry fees, petrol and transport, repairs, accidental damage, team catering, tires and much more devour each season.

The solution:
Crowdfunding! At SponsoredRaceCar, everyone can contribute financially to building a professional racing team. In this way, the high costs are divided among a large group of people. But the best thing about it: Every supporter can also decide which vehicle is to be built into a racing car and which parts are installed. Every member can apply as a driver or mechanic and the community votes. The winners receive professional training in the SRC Bootcamp, get a racing license and are prepared for tough racing. As a well-coordinated team, racing events like the VLN and the 24h race at the Nürburgring at the start in the jointly built racing car.

Here's how it works:
Anyone who wants to actively participate in the set-up can financially support the project on Startnext. You have the choice between different supporter packages. In addition to unique thank-you notes, each package contains a certain number of SRC credits. These credits are the voices of the community in the entire development process of the racing team. The credits can be used for every decision such as vehicle and part selection. So everyone can bring their favorites to the top of the voting. The vehicle or the part with the most votes (credits) is bought from the total money invested.
As soon as the racing car is set up, the team starts. Anyone who has supported SRC financially can apply as a driver or mechanic and create their own support group on the SRC homepage. Here everyone can present themselves and convince themselves why they should make it into the team. If you want to support someone you can join your group and those with the most group members make it to the boot camp.
Then it starts at national racing events. "

It is a very ambitious project that still needs a lot of support, especially from the community. Nevertheless, Florian Czermak is confident: "We have already achieved a great deal this year and will continue to do everything we can to get the world's first crowdfunding racing team on the track."

With SponsoredRaceCar, a lifelong dream could come true for many motorsport enthusiasts.
