The approval boom electric vehicles does not make loading easier.
In purely mathematical terms, 11,2 e-cars in Germany share one charging station. This is the result of an analysis by the management consultancy Beryls. In 2020, Germany falls back one place to fourth place compared to the Netherlands, France, England and Norway. A year ago, one charging station in Germany supplied 9,2 vehicles with electricity. The Netherlands and France are also deteriorating in the ratio of charging stations to e-cars. England and Norway could improve.
More charging stations on private property
The management consultants see one reason for the worsening of the relationship between vehicles and charging points in the registration boom for e-cars in Western Europe. Among other things, they are calling for a network expansion in the private sphere, which they also include charging points in company car parks and in retail.
