Where the music plays - With Seat in Los Angeles

Seat was born in Barcelona, a young and active city where art and music play a big role. Music is a universal language that conveys emotions and thus a perfect tool for the Spanish car manufacturer to express its accessibility, youthful spirit and modern attitude to life. mein-auto-blog was there when Seat's newly created sound logo got its finishing touch in one of the most acclaimed recording studios in Los Angeles. At the beginning of next year, a sequence of sounds, in which classical guitar sounds with accents of modern music to remind of the temperament of the Spaniards and the sound of the engines of the automaker. How do you all know. Melodies that cut into the head, into the stomach and into the brain like worms in the framework, interfere in all situations and never let go of their penetrance. Seat now wants to take advantage of the catchy tune with the development of its first own sound logo. It should be a piece of sound that every listener anywhere in the world should immediately associate with the Seat brand. A project with a bold approach. Seat did not get the draft for this from an optimal mix of synthesizers "calculated" by the computer. Real people, musicians or those who feel called to do so should find the sound for Seat. The way to do this was called the Seat Musicathon, the winners of which were found in the competition. In a country in which Seat is not represented as a brand, namely the USA, these winners meet in one of the most famous recording studios in Los Angeles. Ariadna Castellano from Spain, Christian Wiecimok from Germany and Tomm Zeskel from Italy should now assemble the Seat Sound logo from the three winning pieces with the experts on site and give it the final touch.

The legendary United Recording Recording Studio on Sunset Boulevard Hollywood breathes history: from Frank Sinatra to Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson to the Hot Chili Peppers. Everyone was already here.

The United Recording is not just any music studio. In the fifties Frank Sinatra helped with and promoted it, it survived. Not itself, but the times that are particularly moving in and for the music business, stormy, revolutionary and in any case exciting. But all that is outside, behind the doors at number 6050 on Sunset Boulevard, which is no longer as it was in Frank's great times. In the studio itself, time seems to stand still, not only because optics, style and structure, apart from the technology, have only gradually shifted. Old School at its best, what Hollywood has to offer. This is where the heart of music history beats, the hallways of the studios breathing in legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Sinatra and Lionel Ritchie. Just around the corner from Studio D, Michael Jackson had a toilet built for himself while he was recording parts of his hit album "Thriller".

The City of Angels - destination for the winners of the Seat Sound logo.

All three music enthusiasts had to stick to it: the logo may not have more than two seconds. Two seconds, divided by three - there is damned little of each post. Nevertheless, the time will be enough to show unmistakably and without words from 2017 that modern and spirited cars of the brand Seat are rolling from Barcelona.

Teen cheeky: the Seat Ibiza FR on the Santa Monica Pier stands out.
Chic with the red rims and red side mirrors. But it does not exist to buy here: Seat is not represented in the USA.
