Where does the fuel certificate for the plug-in hybrid actually come from?

Anyone who drives a company car or who is self-employed would like to keep an overview of all costs and make them available to the tax office. That was also very easy in the last few decades. Refuel, file fuel receipt. Costs are clearly visible. The fuel receipt serves as “proof”. But what about a plug-in hybrid or an electric vehicle?

PHEV: The fuel certificate from the E-Werk

In the last article I stated: We pay 32.09 Euro-Cent per kWh of electricity to our energy supplier. That's not cheap, but it's good for your conscience not to finance nuclear power and coal power (ect). We pay for 100% eco-electricity.

With a current consumption of 260 kWh electricity per month, the 83 € per month in electricity costs. In contrast to the fuel bills but we get no proof after each charge. What would happen if we wanted to deduct the cost of electricity? Of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV endurance test car is a “test vehicle” and we could certainly claim these costs against the tax office. But how?

Exclusive electricity meter for the PHEV

We are currently not charging the charging costs with the tax office. Simply because the separation of “business” and “private” trips still has to be clarified by the tax advisor and the tax office. We currently do not keep a logbook for the PHEV. In the event of a positive clarification, however, we have already taken precautions.

mobile loading box test
e-car-tec.de | 22 kW Mobile charging box

With an extra electricity meter of the E-Werk, we have installed a verified power take-off in the garage. Such an electricity meter does not cost the world. But in the end, it guarantees a definite control of the amount of electricity taken. And thus a proof of the power consumption.

A 32A-CEE plug was mounted on this electricity meter, so this power socket cannot be tapped for “normal” consumers either.

Because we drive more e-cars at mein-auto-blog - shortly a Tesla Model S and an electric B-Class from Mercedes-Benz - we decided on a wallbox that can also be placed in the trunk. We are currently testing the "mobile charging box ”from car-go-eletric.de, With up to 22 kW charging power, maximum functionality is guaranteed here. In addition, we can guarantee to the tax office to use the withdrawn electricity really only for e-vehicles.

Offsetting with the “NEDC data”?

Many things in connection with the tax office are regulated according to the taste of the tax offices. While one tax office considers and accepts the “billing” of electricity costs based on the “manufacturer information”, other tax offices insist on a “solid” billing.

To avoid discussions, we recommend the “electricity meter” at the charging point. The costs for the installation of the electricity meter, in our case it was 180 €, can also be stated at the same time.

Wallbox with charge log

Another alternative is a wallbox with its own billing system. The provider "The new motion”Offers such a solution, for example. So far we haven't been able to test this option.
