But far from it: Logitch offers the Zero Touch - a holder for the smartphone, which is linked to an app and works quite clever. The system is wonderfulcomplicated and easy to penetrate, installed in a flash and ready for use.
Networking continues to advance. One reads from Bavarian automobile manufacturers who now see the smartphone as a butler and travel aid and have many other outrages in store. All well and good, but most of them don't have the necessary change to buy a premium-league vehicle that allows you to integrate your smartphone into your car.
If you have your old darling - here you mean the car! - So if you want to upgrade a little and use your smartphone on the go, Logitch has an exciting alternative on offer. An intelligent mobile phone holder with voice control - and that without spending a fortune or having to give the car to the workshop for conversion. There are two variants: On the one hand, you can choose the version of the Zero Touch, which is attached to the air vents, and on the other hand, a solution with a suction cup is available, which is installed either on the window or on the dashboard.
Then you quickly install the app and place your smartphone on the holder. The screen is easy to read at all times because the phone can be placed upright. How it works? With magic! No? Okay, kidding aside. With a magnet. Satisfied? Good, because the holder works perfectly: As soon as you attach the mobile phone - Bluetooth switched on - it connects by itself. What follows is easy operation via voice control.
The idea of voice control is not new - admittedly. But it has never been as mature as the Zero Touch. You don't have to memorize commands and you don't have to learn the system, you just have to talk straight away - very easy. So you can call your best friend by voice when you go on a longer trip to the outlet or answer your text messages - without hands. Simply issue a command and Zero Touch skillfully implements it. "Let Patrick know that there is a pout today ... uhm. Roll roast for dinner," and Patrick already knows.
But this is not enough, one controls by voice announcement even more functions. If you don't want to communicate with the outside world right now, you can listen to your music on announcement and even select streaming services. For the right way, chat with the Logitech Zero Touch and simply enable Google Maps or any other service that knows. In addition, you can easily share your location via Glympse with your friends - all without touch, but only through the natural language recognition. A simple gesture is enough to wake up the app or simply mute it - after all, you have a modern smartphone in front of you.
Many wireless Bluetooth systems are supported in the car. The condition is that one uses an Android system starting from the version 4.4. An iOS solution is not yet available. That may be a matter of time, after all, the Apple community is not exactly small. Otherwise, the simple, intelligent system remains. Plug in and the activation takes place automatically. Remove and the system disconnects again. It doesn't matter whether you use one or more Zero Touch systems - for example in different vehicles. It is also nice that the app does not affect other smartphone functions, as some other auto apps unfortunately like to do.
Was there anything else? Oh yes: The Logitech Zero Touch has a battery and saves you the hassle of laying cables in the car. This has its advantages: On the one hand, cable clutter, which has been known so far from charging stations, mobile navigation systems and other systems, looks terrible and is thus spared. On the other hand, the battery represents an increase in safety: there is no tangling in the cable - that much is certain. But the nice thing is that you do not have to charge the battery all the time, as it will last for about two to two hours a day with normal use.
The Zero Touch is available from 59 Euro, which seems absolutely fair. After all, you save a few thousand euros for the purchase of a corresponding fixed navigation system that usually offers these functions. You can even save a few thousand more if you add the purchase of a new vehicle. And in terms of sophistication and functionality, the Logitech Zero Touch can be classified as cheap anyway - especially since the app is free.
