5x Special Ferraris to 70sten - Colorful gang

2017 becomes the brand Ferrari 70 years old. The sports jubilee takes the opportunity to build 4 individualized vehicles from the five California T, GTC12 Lusso, F488 Berlinetta and 70 Spider and GTB series, all of which point to historical models of the sports car brand. To kick off this one-off offensive, the Italians at the Paris Motor Show (to 16 October) show five of these vehicles.

A particularly eye-catching feature of this quintet is a 488 Spider called "The Green Jewel". With its dashing exterior color in metallic green, this fresh air separator is intended to be reminiscent of the 365 P2, of which a total of six vehicles were built in the 1960s. The British David Piper Racing Team won the 365 Hours of Kyalmi with the 2 P1965 in 1966 and 9. Like this former winner, the 488 also bears the starting number 25. Gold-colored light alloy wheels and a red driver's seat in the otherwise black interior are further details of this anniversary 488.

A second open 488 alias "The White Spider" is intended as a reference to the built from 1953 to 1955 race car Ferrari 375 MM. All in all, 23 made copies of it as Spider and Berlinetta - one of Vignale, 22 by Pininfarina. Among other things, the vehicles were used in the Ferrari factory team and later in other racing teams, especially in North America. In more than ten years, the 375 MM 56 race wins entered. Like some original 375s, the 488 was painted in white and decorated with a rally stripe in blue in the middle of the car. In this blue is also a waterproof and particularly durable Mycroprestige-coating held in the interior.

The third car is an 488 GTB with the suffix "The Schumacher". With this vehicle Ferrari wants to remind of the Formula 1-Renner F2003-GA, with which the former racing driver Michael Schumacher could win seven victories in the year 2003 alone and secured the world championship title. With a few white accents on the otherwise red outer skin he is to remember in color the once successful formula racing cars. The interior can also be found particularly noble sports leather seats and carbon inserts.

Also reminiscent of a racing legend is based on an F12 Berlinetta "The Stirling". The source of inspiration for the design was the 250 GT Berlinetta SWB, with which Stirling Moss 1961 raced first at the Tourist Trophy. According to its historical model, the Berlinetta carries a special paint in indigo blue with a white horizontal stripe above the bonnet and number plates in the doors and hammered aluminum applications in the interior.

The fifth special Ferrari is a California T alias "The Steve McQueen", which a 250 GT Berlinetta from the year 1963 served as a model. This non-race preziose once gave actress Neile Adams to her then-husband Steve McQueen. Like this historic original, the California T was painted in dark brown and fitted with light-brown Masoni leather seats. (Mario Hommen / SP-X)
