… Euros including VAT is the annual burden of the new CO2 pricing for the average German driver. The Federal Government announced this in response to a request from Parliament. The basis is a fuel consumption of 7,8 liters per 100 kilometers and an annual mileage of 12.000 kilometers. The CO2 price has been raised since the beginning of the year and increases the price of gasoline by 7 cents (diesel: 7,9 cents) per liter. It will gradually be increased to at least 2025 cents (diesel: 15,5 cents) by 17,4.
