The appearance of the icon, which is celebrating its 20 anniversary this year, is slightly updated. So she now wears the radiator grille in diamond look, which also adorns the prototype SL. The bonnet is sharpened more than before, the headlights, now with LED technology, have become narrower. Larger air intakes in the front apron push the SLC onto the road a little more forcefully. The same applies to the rear with its tailpipes embedded in the corrugated diffuser. The somewhat narrower rear lights also shine with LED technology. The designers have also done their hand in the interior, including a redesigned instrument cluster and steering wheel.
The list of extras has been significantly expanded, new features include parking or lane keeping assist, reversing camera or internet access. The foldable steel roof, on the other hand, remains the favorite of women. It can now be opened and closed at speeds up to 40 km / h.
The new entry-level model SLC 180 is content with an 1,6-liter turbo gasoline engine, which nevertheless sends 115 kW / 156 PS to the rear wheels and should not disappoint sporty SLC drivers with a top speed of over 225 km / h.
