Mercedes CLS facelift

Mercedes is giving the four-door Coupé CLS a little freshening up. There is also a new mild hybrid diesel and a particularly exclusive AMG special model.

In July, Mercedes is launching its CLS coupé sedan with several innovations and a new mild hybrid diesel. In addition, 53 copies of a "Limited Edition" are being produced specifically for the Mercedes-AMG CLS 4 300Matic +.

General changes include a new grille design with a star pattern and changes to the front and rear aprons. There is also a new metallic paint in blue and new designs for light alloy wheels in 19-inch format to choose from. For the interior, new wooden trim parts and color combinations for the leather upholstery are available. There is also a new generation of steering wheels which, when the driver assistance package is added, has capacitive hand recognition.

For the first time, Mercedes will be offering the mild hybrid diesel 300d 4Matic with 15 kW / 20 PS e-boost for the CLS. The drive provides 195 kW / 265 PS and 550 Newton meters of torque, which enables a sprint to 100 km / h in 6,4 seconds and a maximum of 250 km / h. Consumption is given as 5,5 liters.

In the case of the 53 4Matic +, 320 kW / 435 PS and 520 Newton meters are available as before. In the exclusive “Limited Edition”, this drive variant offers the AMG Night Package I and II, the Dynamic Plus Package and 20-inch wheels as additional extras. Inside there is two-tone nappa leather, carbon trim and red contrasting stitching on the steering wheel. Mercedes has not yet provided any information on the presumably slightly increasing prices. The basic model currently costs around 59.400 euros.
