My dear colleague Jens Stratmann from “rad-ab.com” sometimes has very strange ideas. Seriously. Then he sits down in a Porsche GT3 and instead of starting the engine and pressing his foot to the pedal, he just stops in a climatic chamber. Who does something like that? OK.
I apologize for Jens, it wasn't his idea. The idea came from ExxonMobil and together with two other vloggers he should experience what engine oil has to endure. A limit experience without G-forces for Jens, so to speak.
Engine oil and Jens, both at the limit?
In order to experience up close what temperatures do to you and how hard it must be for the engine oil, ExxonMobil put Jens in a Porsche climate chamber. Jens experienced both extremes from +40 to -20 degrees Celsius there. Who read the article by Jens [here] reads, he quickly realizes that Jens is apparently not the heat type. Completely different than the engine oil from Mobil1 with Porsche, for example, guarantees the health of the engine in the Porsche GT3.
However, what Jens was allowed to experience was only a lukewarm infusion for motor oil. While the English Vlogger Shmee150 and the Russian Video blogger Ilya agreed on how exciting the test in the cold chamber was - the engine oil must have been bored 😉
The engine oil from Mobil40 has to withstand from -260 ° to + 1 ° Celsius and at the same time meet the requirements placed on the oil.
