It is still a week until the IAA 2017 opens its gates to the world public. But Seat is in a particular hurry to present his highlights now. And they have it all! The compact class of the Spaniards is crowned with a new top model, the Seat Leon Cupra R, which is of course the focus of the trade fair appearance. In addition, there is also the Seat Arona, an SUV in the B segment, which is particularly important for the aspiring brand. And technically, the Spaniards are putting a pound on the table: Amazon's voice assistant - “Alexa” - will be integrated into the model range in the future.
The model offensive continues
In 2016, the Spaniards sold 410.000 vehicles - a number that Seat could only dream of not so long ago. After more than 25 years in the VW group, the Spanish subsidiary has slowly managed to get into the black; not least thanks to the Seat Leon, The Spanish compact is already a dynamic vehicle, but will again be selected with a top model at the IAA 2017: The Seat Leon Cupra R.
This "hot hatch" will be launched at the international motor show in Frankfurt / Mail (16.09. - 24.09.) And is likely to be in great demand. Just 799 copies will roll off the assembly line. The special thing about the Seat Leon Cupra R is, on the one hand, its plus in performance: Depending on the gearshift selected, 300 or 310 hp are available. The exterior of the Cupra R is of course also adapted to this. While the colors with gray, black or a special matt gray are rather reserved, the carbon attachments show the pure sportiness of the top model. This is topped by the double pipe exhaust and the accents in the color "copper". You will also find that inside.
An important pillar
In addition to the Seat Leon, the SUVs are a mainstay in the model range. This is now around Seat Arona , which celebrates its official world premiere in Frankfurt - and at the same time its market launch. In this context, the prices of the B-SUV will be announced on the Seat Ibiza based.
In addition, the choice of the name for the large Seat SUV goes into another round. The candidate who is on par with the Skoda Kodiaq and the Volkswagen tiguan allspace ranigert, is currently still nameless. But Seat designed a smart action in which the community could submit proposals. The current highlights are "Aran", "Aranda" and "Abrera". Which name it will ultimately be, is still far from being decided.
The decided thing, however, is "Alexa". This is not a new Seat model, but the voice assistant of the online giant Amazon. In the future Alexa will be in the Leon models, Ateca, Arona and Ibiza are integrated and make your stay in the vehicle as pleasant as possible. The system can be used to enter the destination or a restaurant can be found in the area. Further functions should be available soon. And should you ever be alone in the vehicle, Alexa will also be happy to speak a few words to the driver.
