At the 24h race: Germany premiere for the Lexus RC F

The Nürburgring offers the ideal premiere setting for the new Lexus RC F. The legendary 24-hour race on June 21 and 22 Lexus presents the powerful new sports coupé, which will be launched at the end of the year, to the German public for the first time as part of an exhibition on Ring-Boulevard.

The F in the name stands for Lexus for the Fuji Speedway in Japan, where the Japanese car manufacturer is testing its high-performance vehicles. It is therefore no wonder that racing genes also lie dormant in the RC F: the new 5,0-liter V8 engine is the most powerful that has ever powered a series-produced Lexus. It develops significantly more than 450 HP and more than 520 Nm torque.

As the first Lexus engine, the RC F engine runs at low engine speeds in the consumption-optimized Atkinson cycle and at higher engine speeds in the Otto cycle in order to maximize performance. Intake and exhaust systems have been optimized for a characteristic sound experience: up to around 3.000 rpm, lower frequencies dominate the robust sound, at speeds above 6.000 rpm, higher-frequency components increasingly enrich the sound spectrum.

The powerful V8 is coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearshift, which is combined for the first time worldwide in a rear-wheel-drive coupé with a front engine and a torque vectoring differential (TVD). It not only brings the enormous power to the road with the greatest possible efficiency, but also guarantees more traction and control in the limit area and thus exceptional driving performance and maximum driving dynamics.

The new Lexus RC F will be available in Germany at the end of the year.
