Volkswagen is now equipping its flagship Touareg with two different plug-in variants.
As with its sister company Q8, hybrid engines with 381 hp (280 kW) are used in the Touareg e-Hybrid and 462 hp (340 kW) in the Touareg R. The vehicles can achieve a range of up to 47 kilometers (WLTP) purely electrically. The vehicles can sail at speeds of up to 130 km / h, and up to 80 kW of energy are recovered when braking. The hybrid models of the Touareg take over the normal deceleration of up to 0,3 g by simply releasing the accelerator. The Touareg e-Hybrid is available from 72.278 euros, the big brother Touareg R costs 84.660 euros.
