Deliveries at Lamborghini increase by 2011 percent in 23

The Italian sports car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini closed the 2011 financial year with double-digit growth in deliveries to customers and sales. Worldwide deliveries increased by 300 units from 1.302 to 1.602. This corresponds to an increase of 23% compared to the previous year. Sales for 2011 increased by 19%, increasing from 271 million euros to 322 million euros.

In 2011, the Italian supercar brand recorded extremely stable growth, continuing its recovery from the global economic crisis. The most important growth factors were the additional increase in sales of the best-selling Lamborghini of all time, the Lamborghini Gallardo, and the introduction of the new top model, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. The US and China have confirmed their status as the single most important markets for Lamborghini, followed by the UK, Germany, Italy and the Middle East.

“We look back on 2011 with some satisfaction as the year that enabled sales to resume growth. The year was characterized by renewed interest in the Gallardo series, but was particularly marked by the successful market launch of the Aventador. It is establishing itself as the new benchmark for supercars and has received more than 30 awards from the international media for its exclusive design and innovative technologies,” comments Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

The current order backlog for the Lamborghini Aventador covers production for the next 18 months. Next to the Lamborghini Aventador with a V12 engine is the Lamborghini Gallardo series with a V10 engine. The new models introduced in 2011 include the Super Trophy Stradale in limited numbers, inspired by the Super Trofeo that competes in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo races, and the Gallardo Spyder LP550-2 with rear wheel drive.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is by far the most successful model in the history of the brand with the bull. More than 2003 Gallardo vehicles have been sold since 12.000.

“At the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, we will present a further step in this direction in terms of innovative materials and design,” said Winkelmann. So you can expect a new model from the Italian sports car manufacturer.
