Bentley takes the Record run on the ice by four-time rally world champion Juha Kankkunen to present a special model called “Bentley Supersports Convertible Ice Speed Record”. The Finn raced across the frozen Baltic Sea in a Bentley Supersports Convertible at a speed of 330,695 km/h. A total of 100 pieces of the special model “Ice Speed Record” are to be produced.
Thanks to a modified exhaust system and an adapted engine control system, the special model “Ice Speed Record” is more powerful than the basic version. Ten more HP now increase the performance to a total of 640 HP. The maximum torque remains unchanged at 800 Nm, and a six-speed automatic transmission ensures power transmission to all four wheels. The cool Brit accelerates to 100 km/h in four seconds. It reaches its top speed at 325 km/h.
Externally, the “Ice Speed Record” Bentley differs from its basic model in red trim and a metallic-look hood. In the interior, the driver now has a touch-screen infotainment center with a 30 gigabyte hard drive. This informs the driver about various vehicle conditions. Red-tinted carbon fiber accents decorate the interior.
