The Mille Miglia 2019 is a car race full of myths and stories. The Mille Miglia, which started on May 16th in Brescia, is probably the most famous and beautiful car race in the world. Brescia is both the start and finish point of the approximately 1.600-kilometer Italian road race. It ended on May 18th in the center of Brescia.
Bugatti Type 35 and Chiron are at the start of the 2019 Mille Miglia
Bugatti also took part in the legendary Italo Rally with two of its vehicles. One of them was the historic Bugatti 35, driven by Herbert Diess. The current one went as the second vehicle Bugatti Chiron Sport "110 to the Bugatti" at the start. His driver is Stephan Winkelmann.
“The Type 35 is a fast and elegant racer that is fun to drive. He is certainly one of the most renowned participants in this year's Mille Miglia, as he had won over 1920 races in his current time in the 2.000s," explains Stephan Winkelmann. "Its successor, the Chiron, picks up on these elements and proves in the curves of the Mille Miglia that it has everything a Bugatti hyper sports car stands for."
Yesterday the rally entourage moved through the Emilia-Romagna region. Here, in 1987, Romano Artioli brought the Bugatti brand back to life with the construction of the legendary EB110. At the turn of the millennium, Bugatti was drawn back to Molsheim, its home in Alsace.
With its participation, Bugatti wants to underline its French origins and at the same time remind us of Ettore Bugatti's Italian roots.
