The Citroen C3 was so far not a storekeeper, especially often you have the French small car in this country but also not to face. Maybe that was because of his inconspicuous design. However, the new C3 has enough to offer, as it strongly relies on the C4 Cactus.
Especially in the design of the front end of the new Citroen C3 the Cactus looks like cut out of the face. The narrow daytime running lights are like eyebrows on the halogen headlights, which are one floor lower. In the "ground floor" is finally a black plastic planking, which pulls around the vehicle and suggests the character of an off-road vehicle. This fits into the present day, in which one crossover chases the next. With four-wheel drive or the like wants the C3 but have nothing to do.
Although it might not be so badly protected in the field. After all, the new small car offers the airbumbs known from the C4 Cactus, which are a little smaller here. On the other hand, the individuality of the Citroen C3 is great: in terms of color, nobody can easily fool it. The roof alone is available in at least three tones. In addition to the vehicle color, you can choose a red or green variant - with matching trim parts, of course. The rear, which is reminiscent of the smallest Citroen, the C1, is also in keeping with the product family. Unlike this, the C3 wants to please with a spacious interior. The trunk alone has a capacity of 300 liters - not long ago that was still compact class level.
The relationship to the Cactus is also evident in the interior of the small car. Here the Citroen C3 adopted the operating logic from the Cactus, but is more thoughtful. This is shown, for example, by the more practical shelves. But the interior is a bit colorless. The C3 wants to shine with better seats and modern infotainment. For example, it offers 3D navigation with real-time information, a reversing camera or a blind spot warning device. There is also the "ConnectCamera": Here photos can be sent to social networks via a wide-angle windscreen camera. With the vehicle stationary, you can even shoot videos up to 20 seconds long - "Big Brother is watching you"
But the little Frenchman breaks with the usual conventions not only in design, but also in driving. The small car goes against the trend of sportiness and prefers to be comfortable. The quiet type of locomotion is also evident in the engines. The three PureTech three-cylinder petrol engines produce 68 hp, 82 hp or 110 hp. With its turbocharging, the latter is best suited for brisk driving. The Blue HDI 75 and Blue HDI 100 join the diesel engines. So the new Citroen C3 may not be the fastest small car, but it is certainly the face in the crowd.
