Misconduct in traffic is often cursed with curses that hardly anyone hears. A survey has now found out which expressions German drivers prefer to use.
Aggressive behavior is omnipresent in traffic. Accordingly, people swear at the steering wheel often and with pleasure. According to a recent survey by the dash cam manufacturer Nextbase, 55 percent of German drivers said they used swear words. There are regional differences: while the proportion in Hamburg is 45 percent, in Rhineland-Palatinate it is 65 percent. At 20 percent, "ass (hole)" is the swear word with the most frequent mention, followed by "(full) idiot (16%)," (full) idiot "(7%)," bum "(5%) and idiot (5th %).
