Electric cars are seen by many as the future, so of course super sports cars with e-drives should not be missing. Various exciting e-models are already available on the market. Even more interesting, however, are the future electric sports cars that are supposed to come onto the market one day.

Electric sports cars – kings of acceleration

The BMW i8, which can go from 4,4 to 0 km/h in around 100 seconds, is already available. The NIO EP9 with its 1.360 hp are significantly faster. It takes just 2,9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. The Rimac Concept One does it in just 2,5 seconds.

 

 

Ferrari & Co. are working on electric super athletes

But let's get to the planned vehicles. Below is a Ferrari, which according to those responsible for Ferrari should one day be the ultimate. In addition, Porsche has also planned such an e-super sports car, namely the Porsche Mission E. This should come onto the market in 2019 and sprint from 3,5 to 0 km/h in 100 seconds.

Also planned is the Vanda Dendrobium, which will appear in 2020 and will take 2,7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. Furthermore, the Swiss carmaker ELEXTRA is planning an all-wheel drive electric super sports car, which has already been presented as a concept and should accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2,3 seconds.

The Aspark The Owl could be even faster and the possible superstar and the e-super athletes. This was presented as a concept and should bring a whopping 1.000 pure electric hp to the ground. This performance should make it possible to accelerate from 2,0 to 0 km/h in under 100 seconds. When The Owl will be released is still unknown.

Tesla also wants to present a viable concept for an electric sports car by 2020. With the fastest production car, the Tesla Roadster 2, the American electric car manufacturer wants to achieve 1,9 seconds on country roads.
