The number of people killed in road accidents fell sharply across Germany in January 2021. As reported by the Federal Statistical Office, 141 traffic fatalities were counted, 65 or almost a third fewer than in January 2020. The decline in the number of people injured in traffic was even more pronounced. The Federal Statistical Office registered 15.500 traffic injuries, 40,2 percent less than in January 2020.
