Devel Sixteen - Everything about the price, horsepower and top speed of the exotic hypercar
What actually happens when you develop a vehicle in Dubai with the aim of competing with Bugatti? Exactly, it will be powerful, pompous and absolutely unique. This is also the case with the Devel Sixteen from Defining Extreme Vehicles Car Industry, or Develmotors for short. Defining extreme vehicles, as Devel means, is part of the Sixteen program.
The myth of the Devel
In 2013, the previously unknown company from Dubai caused a stir in the automotive industry when they presented the concept of a 5000 hp ultra sports car with a top speed of well over 500 km/h. What followed was a hasty first presentation, extreme hype and a long wait. It was only decided in 2017 that the Devel would be built. In 2019, the vehicle was presented again at the Canadian International Auto Show. Since then it has become quiet again about the “Devel”.
How expensive is the Devel Sixteen?
It should come as no surprise that the Devel supercar is aimed at a millionaire crowd. With a base price of around 1,3 million euros, there is "only" the weakest model of the Sixteen. If that's not enough, you have to bring a sum of 2,4 million euros with you to be able to call the 5000 hp beast your own. So the price of the Devel Sixteen is quite an expensive treat.
How much horsepower does the Devel Sixteen have?
It all depends on whether you decide on "only" 2000 horsepower, choose the golden mean with 3000 hp, or whether more is actually more. Because then there's the Devel Sixteen in a 5007! PS variant, which, however, does not include street legal.
How fast is the Devel Sixteen from 0-100?
Equally impressive is the brute acceleration. The Devel Hypercar accelerates from 1,8-0 in just 100 seconds. This is made possible by a quadruple-charged 12,3-liter V16 engine that whips the vehicle on. Depending on the model, an unbelievable 560 km/h can be achieved. That would be the distance from Munich to Berlin within an hour. Everything just a fake? There should also be critics who claim that.
Not only because of its incredible power, the Devel was compared to the Batmobile when it was presented for the first time at a car show in Dubai. Its rear resembled that of a jet plane and its construction resembled that of the superhero's car. No wonder, because it is officially said that the development was based on a fighter jet.
Can you currently buy a devel?
It should be said that even with the wherewithal, it can be difficult to own a Sixteen. As Devel leaked, there will be a waiting list that you'll put your chosen buyers on. The current waiting time is almost two years.
Few hypercars have caused as much excitement in the last 10 years as the Devel Sixteen. After years of delays, consolations and tests, a vehicle was built from a manufacturer's utopian idea, which can set new standards in the hypercar sector in the next few years.
But not the 5000 hp monster comes from Dubai. Also the one with almost the same name Develop Sixty, a 6×6 SUV street monster, comes from the desert state.
