The Ferrari share

Ferrari stock

A Ferrari is more than a car. The Ferrari brand stands for luxury, lifestyle, motorsport and is a household name around the world. Hardly any other vehicle manufacturer was able to establish itself as the Italians did with their red cars. Apparently perfectly balanced on the fine line between myth of the past and excellence of the present. With the spin-off from the Fiat Chrysler group, Ferrari shares were listed on the stock exchange for the first time. This not only increased the capital, but also the claims!

Always forward

Right from the start, the Ferrari share with the abbreviation RACE was based on the previous successes of the luxury car manufacturer. The trend was steadily upwards, and the share continued to gain in value. The direction of success was almost unchecked. The first slump did not follow until almost three years later, at the end of 2018. However, the fall in the share value was used almost as a springboard for the following year to catapult the price per share further and reach new highs. Experts who were initially skeptical had long since fallen silent. Ferrari had transferred its performance from the engines to the stock and once again silenced all critics.

Corona and Formula 1

As if the corona crisis or a total failure in Formula 1 weren't bad enough for Ferrari, 2020 was confronted with both scenarios at the same time. One might think that the rapid ride on the stock exchange would end in a crash, but Ferrari, against all odds, switched to the fast lane. After the stock suffered a setback in March 2020, not only could the dent be ironed out, it was left standing like a canyon and not even a year later reached the all-time high of €190,55 per share issued.

Current Ferrari share and forecast

Almost routinely, the price collapsed again after the all-time high in early 2021, but has since recovered. Ferrari shares are still a status symbol and experts are confident that the price will continue to climb. This is supported by a positive outlook for the 2021 financial year, unbridled popularity among luxury sports cars and the successful start to the new Formula 1 season. You have to ask yourself what will be possible when sales figures and motorsport success increase significantly again. It should not go unmentioned that Ferrari's commitment to Formula 1 remains a volatile factor and that with Aston Martin you not only have a competitor on the track, but also on the stock exchange. At the moment, however, there is nothing to suggest that the British could outstrip Ferrari. Not in motorsport, not in terms of popularity and not on the stock market either. Because the Ferrari myth seems to defy every difficulty and to emerge even stronger from difficult times.
