Fans of the Italian sports car brand De Tomaso will be happy because the International Motor Show from September 15th to 25th in Frankfurt is already casting its shadow. The Italian sports car manufacturer De Tomaso wants to present its new De Tomaso Pantera in Frankfurt.
New panther
A total of 7.260 Pantera vehicles were produced in various versions between 1971 and 1993. It was one of the most successful models from the Italian sports car manufacturer with a 5,8 liter V8 engine with 310 horsepower.
The new De Tomaso Pantera is rumored to be powered by a 600 hp V8 engine from General Motors. The body of the “Panther” will be made of aluminum and will weigh no more than 1.200 kilograms. Sports cars have only been built again in Via Pininfarina in Grugliasco near Turin since mid-2011. The reason for this is that the Italian industrial family Rossignolo took over the naming rights.
