Every year, the consulting company “Interbrand” puts together a ranking of the “Best Global Brands”. At the top of the list are the usual suspects. Two tech companies: Apple at 1 and Google at 2. The first automobile manufacturer is Toyota with a “value” of 49 billion US dollars and an increase of 16% compared to the previous year. However, NISSAN has made the biggest leap among automobile manufacturers. It increased by 19% compared to the previous year, to now 9.1 billion US dollars. Of the 15 automobile manufacturers represented in the top 100, only Volkswagen suffered a loss. 9% decline and thus 12.54 billion US dollars are recorded by Interbrand!
With a brand value of 170 billion US dollars, the tech group Apple exceeds the brand values of BMW, Mercedes and Audi - even if added together, it still amounts to 100 million US dollars!
