Almost 300 kilometers are average

E-cars are no longer pure city cars. Globally, they are turning into medium-range mobile.

The average range of e-cars and plug-in hybrids sold worldwide is rising. In the second quarter, 2018 was 183 kilometers, compared to 295 kilometers in the same period of the year, according to consulting firm Alix Partners.

Total coverage sold worldwide in the second quarter of the study was185 million kilometers - an increase of 123 percent over the same period last year. Particularly strong was the plus with 129 percent in China, accounts for about 55 percent of the e-car range sold worldwide. The strongest manufacturer was Tesla; The Californians are responsible for more than a quarter of the sold range.
